GoKshetram, the is farm based project, founded with an objective to develop and conserve the indigenous bovine breeds (‘Bharatiya/Desi Cows’).

• We provide opportunity to individuals for becoming farmer members with us and co-join our journey towards holistic wellness. We grow/produce fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, pulses, spices and oils in the farms of our members.


• We aim to provide sustainable employment opportunities to rural youth and propagate natural farming techniques using cow-dung/urine based manure in our farms.


• We are a farmers’ collective, i.e., an expanding network of farms/ farmers with operations currently in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.


• Our farmers’ collective is focused on production and distribution of farm-fresh produce - fruits, vegetables, dairy, grains, pulses, spices, oils, home-care and personal care products by adopting cow based natural farming methods/produce.


• We have a centralized warehousing facility in the out skits of Hyderabad for storage of our produce, a processing and packaging facility is under commissioning. Our storage, processing and packaging facilities aims to meet international/ export standards.


• We aim to provide our customers an authentic and credible opportunity in starting their journey for holistic wellness by supply of natural, nutritious, farm-fresh, chemical/residue free food products which are produced based on bharatiya/desi cow manure and urines. • Our country, Bharat is known for its vast agricultural lands and rich cultural heritage, and undeniably, our reverance and love towards indigeneous cow breeds. Helping the farmers in dairy production, to providing natural manure for agriculture, to carrying strenous work loads, Indigenous cattle have helped us in countless ways since time immemorial.


• Standing tall and beautiful, indigenous, bharatiya or desi cows can often be found in shades of brown and white, with a magnificent humps and curved backs. These features make them easily distinguishable as opposed to a foreign-bred Jersey cows by their mere appearance.

• Owing to centuries of neglect (due to foreign interventions in the societal fabric of Bharat) and advent of globalization, commercialisation and consumerism - people were led to believe through mis-information that genetically modified/ foreign-bred animals like Jerseys provide better quality and nutritious milk as opposed to bharatiya/desi cows with superior milk volume production.


• As a result, there was a steep decline in people buying and consuming milk that came out of bharatiya/ desi cow farms. This has threatened existence of the bharatiya/ desi bred cows, across the country with extinction of over 120 breeds of Indigenous cattle with only 30 breeds remaining.


• One of the most significant attribute of Indian/Desi cows is the quality of milk they produce. Nutritionists and health experts suggest that native Indian cow breeds has the A2 protein which helps in preventing coronary diseases and eliminates the problem of lactose intolerance.


• Indian/Desi cows helps in maintaining ecological balance. “Slurry” or the digested organic matter of its dung can be used as a natural fertilizer for crops. This reduces the need for chemical fertilizers and maintains soil quality by retaining its fertility and productivity,thereby promoting healthy agricultural and terrestrial ecosystems. Moreover, biogas technology provides favorable conditions for bacterial action to produce methane gas.


• All these factors makes it imperative for us to establishment of economically sustainable farms to proctect Indian/Desi cow breeds.
